Guadiamar Tech Corridor
Narrative building of one of the most successful technology-driven productive transformations in Southern Spain. Very close to emblematic Doñana Nature Park and Seville metropolitan area, Guadiamar river basin was heavily polluted by the mining disaster of Aznalcollar in 1998. The recovery works and other further investments were envisaged as a momentum to initiate a large-scale productive mutation focused on the concept of eco-innovation; a radical change in the development pattern of the area. To some extent, this report by TASO can be envisaged as a next generation blueprint on industrial policy.
